Thanks for the wonderful shout out, on your birthday, from one sparkly fortysomething November birthday girl to another. You look positively special in your tiara, Emily, and I hope you continue to feel super special all day. And even though we arguably didn’t do anything all that special by being born, I think birthdays exist to help us all take turns celebrating each other, ideally in a balanced reciprocal cycle, without stepping on each other’s toes, or overlooking anyone.
