Ahh, good times. Back in our day (2001) we would have a local cop there giving out ‘speeding tickets’ to the boys. Always good for a laugh. Perhaps they would’ve pulled out a ‘cranky’ one for you, Emily. And why is it school gyms and church community rooms are always 89 degrees year-round?

I hadn’t heard of Chase’s victory! Tell him congrats from me and Rob. As for your frustration, I totally get it. As detailed oriented control freaks, um, I mean organizers, we sometimes, um, I mean always, have little tolerance for situations that on the surface seem badly managed. I had the same reaction to Ian’s first fencing fiasco.

Well, those evenings are rather interminable. And I’m casting my mind back to my own childhood and my brother’s Pinewood Derby! Even though it was long ago and far away, I vividly remember that the event seemed interminable. But you are gracious to be grateful to all those who planned and ran the event.
