I am pleased to report that Halloween was a success and quite painless thanks to the grown-up treats in Heatherwold! For all the worrying.. I like to think the boys (including this one) rally quite well. We miss you and look forward to having you home soon and traveling back again in just a few short months!

Worry more about the bathing suit in front of the boss than coming home alive. (Of course, you have nothing to worry about in the bathing suit department either!) If you have time, buy a copy of Israel: A Spiritual Travel Guide, by Lawrence Hoffmann, if not for this trip then for the one in December with the fam. It walks you through what you may experience and has all kinds of poems and blessings and meditations for all kinds of places and experiences you may have. (Again, there won’t be anything on the bathing suit issue.) I’m really serious as far as safety issues: I send David and Elise off to NYC every day on a train and am more worried about that then when I visit Kibbutz Erez, on the Gaza border.
