Coincidentally, or ironically, or something-else-ically (having a little trouble working my head today), not all that many years ago (OK, maybe 25 years ago), I used a kinda-sorta precursor of geocaching and GPS -- a metal detector -- to find AN ACTUAL BRITISH HALFPENNY no more, I&#039;d say, than a mile or two away (and seven to eight inches down) from where you live right this very minute. Now, finding and being the first person to touch THAT in 300+ years was exciting!  (Details upon request.)</description>
