Hi, my 9 year daughter has just been diagnosed with hypoganglionosis, we are meeting with surgeons to discuss her options. I was told this condition/disease is extremely rare.

Basically she is completely unable to poo without the use of daily rectal enemas (not a nice experience for all involved). They thought she had hirschsprung disease but upon her biopsy results they found hypoganglionosis.

To be honest, I am absolutely petrified about what lies ahead for my little angel, I think it's life changing stuff for her.

It's nice to know she isn't alone out there suffering this awful disease.

All the best to you xxx

Hi there, my 9 year old daughter has just been diagnosed with hypoganglionosis too. We are waiting to see the surgeon in a couple of weeks.

I understand this is a really rare disease, so it's good to hear from someone who has first hand experience.

Wishing you well xxx

Jessie, have you ever considered writing a memoir about your journey post-colon? Seriously. I think it would be super interesting and such a fascinating perspective!
