Bear Republic makes one of the best IPA's around and I can afford to drink it all the time! Sonoma Valley is far more down-to-earth and real than Napa...the best part is, my mom lives in the heart of the Valley-of-the-Moon and her door to family friends is always open...her wine stash always ready to share!! And she lives right off Highway 12 ;) Should your yearning for a taste of stateside Provence ever emerge, please let me know in advance! This is a lovely post. Having traveled through some of the world's greatest wine growing regions on our 'round-the-world trip, I can relate to a lot in this post.
