We now know that you'uns is in Missouri and Pittsburgh, and probably everywhere in between. The Steel City is also the place where they say something "needs washed" - wonder what the root of THAT idiom is.

Catching up late here...you'uns is actually very common in Pittsburgh. My son David loved hearing it while he was going to grad school at the U of Pittsburgh.

I heard you'uns many times from a client who was a telephone manager. It was surprising to say the least.

Good point, Emily - he definitely should not have been accessing old customers. And Laurie, I totally agree, those who are teaching our kids are often guilty of making the most egregious mistakes - at least when it comes to spelling and grammar. Now I'm paranoid, did I just misspell "egregious?"

So true. I often receive written information form my son's school - principal, teachers, etc... - and am astounded at the grammar and spelling infractions. It's like fingernails on a chalkboard! And then the thought races through my head that these are the people who are teaching my son.

The whole thing sounds like a sham to me. Whoever the guy was, if he left your old bank, he should not have access to your customer information. I believe that would be breaking the law. Do you think he was legit?
