Excellent fruit suggestion – which reminds me, my grandfather was born in Paw Paw, Illinois. Thanks for the double dose of health tips too, always an important part of dinner planning.

As a fruit course, how about pawpaws?

Just make sure the menu includes a dose of Vitamin B1 so noone gets beriberi… and hopefully tse-tse flies are not in season!

Hawaiian words are a recurring theme here. I always liked the British toast while clinking glasses: “chin-chin.” No idea where it came from. Maybe Zsa-Zsa knows.

Ha Ha! I like this idea, Jennifer. I’m out of food ideas, but suggest that you all be sure and wear your mu-mus, and after dinner you can all dance the cha-cha while listening to the Go-Gos. Just don’t do anything illegal – you don’t want to end up in Sing-Sing.

Yes! I would imagine the Wawa in Bora Bora sells pu-pu platters, and Walla Walla onions. It definitely stocks bonbons called M&Ms…and Ho-Hos too. Ford Madox Ford could accompany Carol Carroll to the swanky soiree.

I’ll ask a woman I know named Carol Carroll — all I can come up with is start with the pu-pu platter, and end with m&m’s of course!

I’d suggest Bora Bora as a venue, and perhaps add a few bonbons and Ho-Hos (which you could buy at WaWa while it’s still open) to the dessert buffet. And for music, UB40′s Red Red Wine… What fun!
