When the temperature is just right, I love opening the windows! My husband (who never lets me drive)will actually press the window lock button to prevent this — which makes me feel like i’m in a straight jacket!

Hi Emily, I am a friend of Jennifer’s and I love your blog. In regards, to the windows open…this is why God made convertibles. Otherwise, I agree, windows up, climate control on.

My wife and I try to split driving on family trips … it ususally ends up about 75(me)/25(her) but that’s OK.

The thing that drives me crazy (see my blog post about “Quirky”) is people who DON’T know where their car is. I don’t mean my wife, who is a dogonne good driver … but her best friend can’t parallel park, can’t back into a space, can’t drive a stick … heck, she backed into a the support post for the carport at her place and did about $200 of damage to the tail light of her van! I admit, I get a little nervous every time my kids get in a car with her.

i discovered, when we were dating, that every annoying driver in front of bill is an idiot, every annoying driver behind him is a jackass. he appreciates that i like to remind him he is driving in front of & behind other drivers as well….

Maikael and I will rent a car in Italy next week and traverse the Croatian and Slovenian border crossings. Sounds like a recipe for disaster? It will be. We don’t, as we like to say, “drive well together,” especially when foreign roads are involved. Pray for us.
