We are playing Scrabble (and Clue)as a family now! It is hardest on Liam and me because we don't like it that Dad always wins (by a huge margin) and that Spencer at age 9 so clearly has a gift. As is true to my personality, there is no accepting of made up or misspelled words. Spencer has had some killer moves, but when he squeezed "yetis" in between two other words I was brought to tears that my son is so clever and my sadness that I will never win a game of Scrabble. (We did have trouble confirming the plural of yeti, but we have evidence that he was right.) Oh wait, I did have the best word last game, "pumice".

Scrabble, Clue and Monopoly (or as we call it, Monotony) are the staples in our house, these days. Game night is the best!

I used to love playing Scrabble with my parents. It was one game we ALL enjoyed! Did you ever have to play "Uncle Wiggly"? Things always got really ugly between my dad and I when Uncle Wiggly came out of the box. I preferred playing with my mom, who either always let me win or was the world's worst checkers player.
