Have them fitted correctly at a store specializing in them. A good store will be able to soften the area just under your plantar fasciitis and you should be good to go. I worked at a Birkenstock store in college and we got people with this issues all the time. You can usually get a prescription for the shoes too. Birkenstocks heel, I mean heal, all problems.
