What #1 forgot to add to his criteria is the need for payment in advance of the job. #2 has offered to do the following, payment in advance , of course, to pay down his bill: -Clean his room, not including under his bed , because who looks there anyway. Not including running a vaccuum, thats extra. Not including changing his sheets because " mom , you do that so good" - Put away laundry,his own of course, and this does not include carrying the basket to his room, or putting things away where they belong because there is a big cabinet that everything can be stuffed into and like under the bed, who is looking?? - Shovel the walk, but only the part that goes from door to driveway , and only if there are 3" or less, only if it warms up and only if there are built in 1/2 hr breaks and only if I help. - Go grocery shopping.This is a good one as #2 doesn't drive and is already $80.00 in debt , so I will have to provide a visa and the permission to purchase what he feels is needed ( read: Ramen noodles, Mint Choc ice cream ,Capn' Crunch and Pepsi Throwback with 100% full on sugar) Of course this shopping trip will begin at Starbucks , where he will need a Mocha Choca Latta to help fuel his efforts. - Clean the dog poop. Oh wait, never mind. Like all things, there is an opportunity to learn here. When #2 came to me the other night and requested I "FRONT HIM THE MONIES" for the thing ifIdontgetIwilldie ( at the tune of $14.95 plus $10.00 shipping ((WTF is THAT??)), I took the moment to teach by the horns..." as a responsible consumer, you never create more debt for yourself until you pay off what you already owe." Thats good parenting, yes? #2 mumbled something under his breath that I will swear sounded like " omg what a mean witch". Lesson learned ... but I never should have left out my Victoria's Secret bill a few days later. ( well?? I WAS raised in the do as I say not as I do era, right???)
