He told me my teeth were healthy, in good condition, then offered whitening. He explained what's available, various prices, and that it can damage healthy teeth. I said no thanks. He said he only offers it because people are vain. They'll get it elsewhere if not from him. His conclusion: people just have too much money. I love my dentist. But there were those times that I have had when I begged to get there asap and crossed everything I had that they could "work me in"!!! Too bad Eric is in CA. He did a fabulous job on my crown. I am the proud mother who can say that my son gave me a "gold (yellow) crown". So now that I have that, should I wear yellow or white gold jewelry?? Hmmmm....so many decisions. Haha. And oh so true. Yeah, why are we always scheduled for x-rays? It's time for patients to rebel and refuse. On my last trip to the dentist, I was scolded by the hygienist and the dentist for not coming in as soon as the temporary crown fell off. "Now your teeth have moved and the permanent crown won't fit!" They made it fit, with a bit of shaving and filing. My advice to you, keep your eyes closed and listen to your iPod during the entire dental visit. Love the creepy skeleton line. Very funny, Emily! And oh so true.
