Also purchased cargo shorts to which I have been informed that they will not be worn. Most didn't fit - Return trips to store to exchange sizes. We now have a multitude of sports shorts basically in the same color family. My girls always want to shop -Always finding an excuse to try on stuff. Not sure which gender is more difficult! He wears what I buy him.. Shirts with cars, motorcycles(anything Harley) or Phillies shirts work.. As for shorts, gym shorts are all he wears.. Socks are black ankle socks(which works for me since I wear white ankle socks I don't have to worry about our socks getting mixed up). And hoodies for when it's cold(he didn't wear a coat or pants all winter). Makes it really easy for me... I don’t have that problem with Tommy… He wears what I buy him.. Then the choice is go shopping or wear long pants. Works every time. And you're right - teenage girls are much MUCH worse. We got clothes through work last year and a couple of guys ordered cargo shorts that turned out to be the length of capris....one guy actually kept his.
