We might be related! I do the same thing to which my husband's response is a quick roll of the eyes followed by a mundane question such as "what's for dinner?"

Glad you're feeling better!

I love this post! I too am a Web MD aficionado. I diagnose myself, Husband, my sons, friends, and strangers with equal inaccuracy.

For a certain time in her middle school years, we had to limit our daughter's time on WebMD - and the weather channel. Either she was experiencing some sort of rare illness and/or impending weather conditions were going to render the rare illness irrelevant, since we were all going to be wiped off the planet. You have managed to combine the illness with the apocalyptic weather event!

You have no idea how much I relate to this piece. OK this was the best! The best! We are somehow related my dear.

Did you give yourself a black and blue from pressing so many times on your right side?

I got sick in NYC and still fill ill. I had time check out all the horrible things that could be wrong with me on WebMD.

When I was little I was sure I was alway having appendicitis. I was convinced that any little gas pain was the real deal. I'm sure I even imagined the pains. It's so lucky to have a vivid imagination, isn't it?

Let me know that you are feeling better!

I happily tell everyone that I received my medical degree on Google. I never heard of the jumping up and down test for appendicitis; I'll have to add that to my repetoire.

So I like diagnosing people with existential crises and you like diagnosing people with everything else? I don't mind handling the psychological concerns if you take the physical ones: we could be quite the team.
