... Or Hugh could demonstrate his added responsibility for the car by cleaning its contents and washing it on the next fair day.

Recently, total strangers saw our bumper sticker and were so excited - they started talking about plot twists and characters we had never heard of. I'm pretty sure we had the name before either Firefly or Malcolm in the Middle came along. Katie, how times have changed, nobody can buy cigarettes now without proof of age - and they cost nearly $10 a pack. Your mom would have had no choice but to go herself!
Emily, soon you'll be going through this process with Noah. I'll give you my tips when the time gets closer.
Yeah, my brother Tom cracks me up with his impromptu lines!

Congratulations Hugh! I failed my first drivers test miserably, as in, I was miserable. The state police officer was so nice to me. He said, "well, emily, you are going to come back and see us again, arent you?" Yes. Yes I was. Sniff.

Very funny about the Firefly connection. I love Firefly, and for some reason never put the two together.... Also I am sure Lindsay can tell you about Mom sending Lindsay or Amy to the store in the car for cigarettes, and then telling them they could keep the leftover coin change for gas for their own cars... In a pinch, she would give my little brother or me a note and send us up to Circle K on our bikes to buy cigarettes. Maybe that's one reason I didn't get my Driver's License until I was about 19.
