I would not be the person I was today if it he had been in my life. He is terribly missed and will always live through my thoughts and actions. Life is not fair in many ways and this is definitely one of them. My dad not only made our family better but I have personally seen the impact he had on others. His life was like the food he cooked: thought out, infused with love and then served to everyone to enjoy a piece of a happiness which was my dad... If there is one thing we should learn is enjoy your family and friends everyday because you never know what the next second will be. I love you dad and miss you every moment.... I was told not to read this before i go to bed but I needed to put closure to sitting Shiva. El was an unbelievable person - he was a Renaissance man - wanting to know , to learn, to discover, to argue . He loved me .We never went to bed with out a kiss good nite and and an I love you.(even if I went to sleep 3 hours later) - and in the morning a hello kiss. Life is still ahead with many more memories to make with my loving and supporting children and grandchildren, family and family friends. I will continue his legacy. I hear his voice , I feel his essence but I will not have his hand to stroll down the next path.The hurt is deep and the tears will come but we must always look forward to that sunny day and feel the warmth on our face and a spirit of love.
