Interesting thoughts. I've wrestled with them myself.

But, I wonder if my great-grandfather had the same thoughts when the telephone was invented? Or when electricity changed the world.

I don't know where to draw the line, but I'm thinking that the advance of technology needs to include the human side of understanding when and where we draw lines for ourselves and our children.

Hi Jennifer --

Great entry. Have you read the book "The Shelter of Each Other" by Mary Pipher? She has some brilliant things to say about technology and its affects on the family and life in general. The potential of electronic technology changing from useful tool to controlling force in our lives.
