Oooooh, now i want topray tothe fondue gods! It took meanwhile to catch on that it was silly to let our kids pick the restaurant because they order chicken tenders everywhere we go! I want to follow,but am not versed in the ways of the twitter…perhaps I will finally get motivated!

As usual, you had me cracking up. You really captured the spirit of that place. To Elizabeth’s point, the one time I went to The Melting Pot I was BLOWN AWAY by how expensive it was for some raw meat and cheese. You have to take the free salad course just to justify the expense.

Hilarious! Actually, The Melting Pot is a national chain. I know because I’ve been twice, once in Seattle, once in New Mexico. And can I tell you how much I HATE it? For so many of the reasons you listed, but mainly because I’m a freak about food safety and the idea of cooking my own meat in bubbling oil nauseates me, and I always overcook it because I’m afraid I’ll give myself food poisoning. Also, I hate paying $100 to cook my own food. Can’t I do that at home for free? Anyway, because I hate The Melting Pot so, I loved reading this post. That is brilliant about the priest!

That would have been heaven to me at 13 or 14, so Noah’s “prayers” definitely resonate.
