PS - Noah forgot his lunch as he happily left for the bus. I dutifully wrote his full name on it and proceeded to deliver it to school.

I have nightmares about packing my daughter's lunch. We have been so fortunate with her current day care as they provide lunch and snacks. Tomorrow starts my first day of packing a real lunch. I am sure I won't sleep tonight. Glad to know I am not the only person who stresses over this stuff!

Absolutely loved this! As a mom of brothers, I deal with the lunch battle everyday. As always, your writing makes me think and in this case, laugh. Hope all is well.

Wow, lots of stress. Since neither of my kids will eat anything resembling a sandwich - I just put money into their lunch account. So much easier! Though I did just find out the my son is buying snacks for all his friends every day.

My mom packed my lunches until my final day of high school (I'm lazy, I know), and as she sent me off to school that day, rather than being emotional about her "baby graduating," she said, "I'm glad I never have to pack another lunch in my entire life."

So funny! My dad taught himself calligraphy on my brown lunch bags. I was hopelessly dorky anyway - the lunch bag or the lunch itself wasn't going to help or hurt that particular situation.
