Anne, maybe George is indeed attempting to break a world record...or maybe he has an aversion to the school facilities. (which would be understandable). We've seen that syndrome in our kids before. Not naming names.

Breaking records must be a current 3rd grade boy trend. Lately, George has been dashing to the bathroom as soon as he gets home. When I asked him if there is a reason why he didn't use the bathroom at school, he told me that he is trying to make/break a record by not using the bathroom all day long. Hmmmmmm......

Sarah, boy, does that ring a bell. Malcolm's first year at camp (SKATEBOARD CAMP, where they sweat a lot) he returned with suspiciously pristine looking sock balls, T-shirts and pants. I think he wore and slept in the same outfit 24/7. And he begged me for Axe products in 5th grade. I guess you have to admire that company's marketing tactics.

It's not quite the same, but it reminded me of the feeling I had when unpacking my son's foot locker. He had returned from two weeks at camp. There was the plastic soap containing a bar of soap still in the wrapper! When I confronted him, he reported that no one uses soap anymore. Really? They use Axe body wash products, and his cabin mates let him use theirs. Still not sure if I buy it (the explanation, that is. I do buy Axe bodywash --he and his friends are very fragrant sixth-graders!)
