Those who know me know I am a music nerd, but did love Cat stevens and james taylor. Jen, name that guy who sang and played cat stevens on the guitar and was successful luring me into bed!

Thank you for sending me back through those wonderful songs…my favorite was Father and Son. It is one of three songs that alwasy make me weep. The others are Simon & Garfunkel’s America (“Cathy I’m lost,…) and Puff the Magic Dragon (“sadly slipped into his cave…”) I’m weeping at my keyboard….

My mother passed her love of Cat Stevens to me and my sisters in the early 70s and MHB was her all-time favorite. When she died two years ago, it was on the top of the playlist for our celebration of her life. As we near Mother’s Day and my public radio station is incessantly reminding me to send flowers (if only I could), I feel the loss even more intensely; thanks for giving me a smile on a tough morning.
