Beautifully written! Both boys are immensely fortunate to have a mom who loves them each so deeply (and who can not only recognize, but honor their differences).

Emily,

You are truly a beautiful writer. I love reading your words. I share your sentiments - since each child is completely unique, the love and feelings we have for each of them is clearly not the same but very special nonetheless. I look forward to your next entry.

What a great explanation on loving equally but not the same. I can totally relate as a mum of 2 boys myself! And thanks for coming over and commenting. I love y'all's blog, so I'll be back.=)

Yikes! We're living parallel lives. I'm turning 40 this year and have two boys. Matthew is 10 and Nico is 8. What a lovely post. I can't wait to read more.

My two boys are still talking about the Southwest flight where the (male) flight attendant told us in case of an emergency put the oxygen mask on yourself first then your child and "if you have have more than one child pick the one you love the most"! I told them I would start with the younger one because I thought he would need more help, and I am still hearing about it.

Em, my boys personalities seem to be exactly like Noah and Chase.
Amazing how brothers can be so different.
