Happy anniversary!
With you on the tattoos except one thing: I shuddered when girls started getting tattoos, as the only people in my life to that time (late 80s) who had them were all former military men in my family who were old and had scary looking droopy blue things on their torsos or arms. And one look at those and I knew that there was no reason for me to ever get one.
BUT I have found over the years that most of the women I know make much better (ie smarter, as in looks-not-ridiculous for longer) choices in what they put on themselves than men do.
So while I would still never do it myself because I hate pain and have seen how dumb they look droopy later in life, I almost mind them less on women.
Except for the poor starred idiot. Really. What was she thinking?

Ah, the tattoo thing. I try not to look too old and judgmental when my younger staff members and nieces and nephews sport them, so I don't comment about the appropriateness, but do give kudos for the artistic nature.

But when my older-than-dirt sister-in-law gets one along with a nose piercing, I shudder all over. It ain't cool for me or those older than me. That's all.

Happy Anniversary!
I was fortunate enough to have the au pair we referred to as "Raised by Wolves" when the kids were young enough to thin both the big rose tattoo AND the nose ring were gross. (And when we met RBW's mother, we were actually correct.)

Happy Anniversary! I agree completely with your tattoo diatribe. And there's nothing new anyone can say about MJ and Farrah, it's all been reported to...death.

oh, and her excuse that she fell asleep? bs.
yes, you do get a bit groggy from the adrenaline and endorphin rush, but if I was going for three little stars or whatever she said she was getting and all of a sudden I felt the needles by my nose, a coma couldn't have kept me still
