Ok the NEXT time you go to see Anna Q. you can take me! Me Me Me!! While I would not prevent you from raising your hand and gushing uncontrollably, I would rival your enthusiasm and we could both embarrass ourselves – it would be like a Saturday Night Live skit except instead of Night at the Roxy it would be afternoon at Talbots. Although I don’t think you really embarrassed yourself all that much. And of course, a lovely ending to a wonderful story.

This simultaneously made me laugh, and then made me choke right up. I am laughing through my tears right now! What a marvelous story (would make a great essay published…somewhere). I just heard a wonderful comedienne, Tig Notaro, do a routine about her repeated run-ins with Taylor Dane (you should look it up if it’s available on YouTube). Your piece sort of reminds me of that — but way more poignant.
