He reads to himself non-stop, but there is something in the connection of reading aloud! We were moved to tears the other night when reading about a mama and baby boy kitten in The Underneath, a beautifully written book which I read somewhere should be read aloud to do it justice. With our boys recently turned 13 and 11, Michael still reads to them every night, alternating between a book of their choosing and one of Michael's choosing. I'm eternally grateful to her for that.
