Oh, Em!! This is great stuff. Even magazines that claim to keep it real are far from it. I seriously think you might be on to something here. Let’s go for it. Count me in. We could have fashion spreads that include baseball hats for bad hair days, clothes from Target where 90% of us shop, and dark under eye circles from lack of sleep instead of nights of hard partying. As I look at my fingernails while typing I think we could do a contest for most destroyed cuticles and chewed on nails.

So funny! I would add an article that could run in Parenting, Family Fun, Family Life and the rest of that ilk: Children Usually Don’t Wear Brand New Clothing Right Out of the Package – unlike the kids in every single photo in every single one of those magazines. Even when the “families” are depicted “hiking” in the wilderness, the children are in immaculate and stylish outfits. Chris pointed out this falsehood long ago…and recently, some ex-editor of a woman’s magazine went public with how twisted the industry is – so much of the content makes the reader feel inadequate or incompetent. I no longer read any of them anymore, even at the gym.
