What a great depictions of fun and genuine authentic interactions. You know, reading this I realized I haven't been to any formal "reunions" yet in my life. When I do, I hope I can approach them in this laid-back a way. But somehow, I doubt I'm quite there yet.

We have pictures of us in all the same places and yet we totally missed you!
I agree, the lack of New Order was a travesty. And also that otherwise, it was a great time.
And your Hey Day picture, then and now, is *awesome.* No wonder it's the iconic image of the brochure!

Yes, an upside of getting older is the fact that you do become truer to yourself, less vain and self-conscious. That said, however, it appears you were not wearing your cheese-doodle-dusted hoodie to this shindig. Great pix!

Emily, you've confirmed why I didn't go to my 10 year high school reunion: it's just NOT enough time to shed those layers of insecurities that you talk about. I think 20 years will be a different story. I am also really fascinated by the fact that your university has a reunion. I, too, went to a large, state university of 30K+ students, and I've never heard of such a thing. How do you even manage to find the people you knew amongst the hordes?
