This is a perfect family hilarious vacation tale. One trip to Yosemite with our boys (we live near the park, so it was kinda a ‘meh’ to them), my eldest mainly just read..and or was reading..then at one glorious awe inspiring overlook, he overheard a British tourist say ‘Bloody Hell’…he was so excited. He was hoping for just this, knowing alot of European’s are in the park..he was hoping, hoping…one UK visitor would make his day. He was not disappointed.

So…I read your little thing on twitter that said, What do spring break and viagra have in common? I was sure the answer was: If either one lasts too long you should seek medical attention immediately.

It is almost inconceivable that a people could ruin something as naturally beautiful as Niagara Falls by wrapping it up with gaudy tourist traps and tying it with a neon bow — but that’s exactly what those Canadians did.

Hah, I have to send that paragraph to some Canadian friends. I have been riding them about it for years.

The commercialism is horrible but the waterfall will endure, long after the ticky-tacky crap has fallen into ruin. I hope.
Sounds like an incredibly fun trip with family friends.

We made a similar trek a few years ago during Spring Break. I loved the Falls, the butterfly habitat, and Niagara on the Lake. It looked the same as our trips there when I was a kid. But the “crap” that has seeped in to town is revolting! THe only consolation for us was learning from friends that went in July. Apparently, they had to wait 10 minutes, just to cross the street b/c of the throngs of people! THAT I couldn’t deal with.
