For the record, the pineapple also came with some snazzy food and water dishes which the cat does, in fact, enjoy… but not as much as Chase loves the pineapple…

The last auction I went to ended up costing us close over $300… I got all panicky during the last 10 seconds when they started counting down. Not only did I knock over a woman to get my item, I ended up putting my name on the wrong sheet. Instead of the really good Celtics tickets, I am now the proud owner of a black cashmere hooded cape. (Note…if you are 5 feet tall and round, capes are NOT the way to go.)

Mark was not too pleased.

Love it! If it makes you feel better, I might have bid on the pineapple dog bed just because it’s so funny.

I got a text last month from a friend who had just broken up with her boyfriend. She had a few too many martinis, won a romantic B&B getaway in California (she lives in Texas) and was texting me at 1am to ask: 1. “What the hell did I just do?” and 2. Wanna fly to Portland for a weekend?”

This is classic, Em! I’m sitting on my couch in Albuquerque, laughing outloud at 7:30 in the morning (read: no easy feat). The pineapple dog bed is hilarious — very Spongebob Squarepants. And I love that your son walks around with it like a blind man.

The best Red Sox seats I ever got came from a silent auction. And since I sat in the section behind home plate, I had ZERO difficulty justifying the expense. The crack of Jason Bay’s bat and the ball soaring over the Monstah made it all even more worth while …. (That pineapple thing will look great in your basement though ….)

Good Luck with your photo shoot! A few months ago we went to a charity auction and spent $350 on 2 Flyers tickets for a game we knew we couldn’t attend! We thought we would be slick and bid so the price would go up, but no one bid after us. We gave the tickets away, but at least it was for a good cause!
