Taking a deep breath and thanking you for this. I am struggling lately with my little H. Lots of worry. Lots of internal dialog exactly like you listed above. I needed this reminder. She is who she is and she will be ok.

Kids. One MORE thing to worry about. Your message also works for US. Perhaps rather than worrying about what we should be doing, we can just get to the business of doing what makes us happy. Whatever that might be :) Thinking of you and hoping that you are remembering that those lies of burnout are, in fact, lies and that you can find some space for yourself in the midst of everything.

Geez, were you in the car today when I was talking to my friend Kim G? Probably more whining than talking, expressing my fear that a certain child will not get into a good college, will probably not remember to go to class if he does get in, and will never have any interests outside of the virtual world. Occasionally I tell myself to let it go. He'll be okay. He'll find his "calling." Your post was a good reminder that I need to chill out. And I love the picture, btw. And I love that you loved having them at your house, because I was dreading having that little project take place here!
