My children will always be "the kids"who will have our unconditional love forever and grandchildren, the best, filling our lives over and over with joy BUT those two little pugs, well what can I say for they, too bring joy while giving us a lot of attention. What goes around surely comes around in our family.

Well, Em, you certainly had us laughing. And you totally nailed the whole baby thing - but it's really the look on my uncle's face that tells the whole story! Thanks for the smiles...

We got really lucky this year b/c we have a 6 month old puppy! Between that and the snow, we were covered as my kids spent most of the time finding reasons to go be alone in their rooms!

So true, Emily. And I can attest to the fact that this phenomenon is international. We went to a party last night in Mexico, and the little girl, Natalia, dressed up as Santa Claus (Senora Claus, as they called her). It was darling, and everyone's cameras were at the ready.
