Did he pick it up from a door handle?
You're taking the news pretty well that you have a son with H1N1. Isn't that a Red Cross of bad parenting? Or is it just an automatic flunking grade in eighth grade health sciences?
Best wishes to Mac on a speedy recovery.

Let’s just call a swine a swine.
This little piggy stayed home.
the mother was swaying to Dancing in the Dark with a distant look in her eye.
the (Thunder) Road to Recovery.

Brilliant!

Arlene, the parents who let the 16 year old drive herself to school would not have been convicted in court, because one could represent their case and the other could rule on it. Slam dunk! Good story.

Beth, you were clearly a very supportive roommate sophomore year. My most hated album due to overplaying-by-roommates was Boz Scaggs Silk Degrees. Just think how different it is for college kids now - they're all plugged into their own iPods. There are upsides and downsides to that.

Cathy played MY "Born to Run" album 100,000 times sophomore year. I don't know if it was Bruce or the fact that I had lost control of the stereo, but I loathe him. I gave her the album at the end of the year. Now I am wondering why it did not get lost or scratched months earlier. Was I a nicer person back then? Bottom line - I would have stayed home too.

Oh "Hells bells" as they say where you hail from Jennifer. These things happen. Used to be "He'll be OK. As long as he can't die from this, what's a few hours anyway? And who will know?" But you can and you can't say that with Swine, right?

I was there last night with Jordan and it was truly awesome. Her second "last" Bruce concert at the old warhorse soon-to-come-down,Spectrum.

Someone I know who shall remain namesless, told me the other day her daughter missed the morning school bus. The kid is 16 and does not have her drivers license yet. She had no way to get to school, nobody else was available for rides, and both working parents, one a lawyer in court and the other a Philadelphia Judge also in court couldn't rescue. They told their daughter to drive herself to school. Shocking?
You know what Deadheads say, "S--t happens."

C'mon, It's Philly! All you would have needed to say to the child welfare people was this: "But it was the Boss on his final night at the Spectrum!" "Case dismissed. It was this couple's civic duty to attend. Next?"

Love your "news flash," Jennifer! And you confirmed a piece of misinformation I heard, that swine flu doesn't usually present with a fever? I also heard that 88% of the population will be infected by the end of the flu season...but that could be bunk, too. You're a good mom to stay home!
