That's the easy part. The hard part is deciding when to give up on a friendship that has become dissapointing or stale. Or when to realize that the person you'd been hoping would become a sure friend will never be really be sure enough. I tend to take these failures of friendship very personally and have to fight the feeling that it was something I did, when it is often just one of those things....letting go gracefully, without bitterness, will be another resultion. Remembering to be grateful for those “sure” friends, and express it often, is something I plan to add to this year’s resolution list. That’s the easy part.
