Oh hell yes.

I imagine a huge wave crashing on top of me. Usually I'm surfing the wave pretty well, but every so often I get caught in the wrong part of the swell and down I go.

I'm not a mom, but the occasional meltdown hasn't eluded me. In fact, sometimes it's the best thing to get me off my lazy arse and doing something good for myself. The latest meltdown resulted in exercise and signing up for a class. I say, fear not the meltdown! ... babspeapod

I am SO with you. Last night I was completely ready to divorce the husband because he didn't throw out the half-and-half container after using it up -- he left it on the counter for 8 hours instead (until I frocking threw it out).

I'm not sure that I'm over it yet, actually.

I was just talking about this tonight with a mom at my son's baseball game. I was lamenting about being late to the game, because I had to close the office, get to the post office, then the bank. After the game, I had to make dinner, get my little guy to bed and then get back to work on a presentation for tomorrow. Did we really make a choice to do this stuff???

I'm on the weekly cycle. My husband calls it Advil Time, referring to his need for Advil in order to deal with me. I have come to notice it happens just about every trash night. Maybe because taking out the trash is his only weekly chore, so when he forgets and then it morphs into chore #715 for me, I tend to lose it. And yet, he needs the Advil. Go figure! Enjoy your next two weeks of calm.
