Hmmm, it is really interesting to wonder about the psychology behind waiting so long to get the photos. Sometimes I think that so much preparation and stress goes into a big event, your mind needs some distance to relax and fill itself with other things before you feel ready to go into nostalgia mode. I know I felt that way after my wedding. It was such a wonderful event, but I was so ready to move on to the next phase of my life. Either way, the photos are gorgeous. Love the one of you with your son!

It took us THREE YEARS to get our wedding album. And it’s not like we were obsessing over small details…we just kept forgetting about it.

Okay, I was completely caught off guard – totally started to cry as soon as the montage started! Beautiful! And you have nothing on us in the delay department – we waited so long the photographer disappeared on us and we only managed to get an album because of his former assistant – we’re talking possibly four years total. So, no worries after only a year!

Wow, Em. Beautiful post with two of my favorite words (wombat and montage). The photos are amazing and my memories of that day are wonderful.
