I found your story in a comment you left on an AOL story. Now that I think of it, I've only been substantially upgraded once and it was when I arrived really late. My brother, his wife, and I drove from Southern California to Las Vegas on a whim and checked with Bally's around midnight for a room. They only had giant suites yet somehow my exhausted sleepy smile got us one of the remaining suites for the price of a standard room. After all, we would be checking out in 8 hours. Like you (on a much smaller scale) we were quite overwhelmed and felt the need to touch everything and try out everything in the room. I remember it taking 30 minutes just to fill up the giant bathtub! Other than that, my claim to fame is usually getting an extra pillow or a wireless Internet access code. This is so cool.
