Here’s what I buy at Urban Outfitters, while Elise is trying on the dresses/shirts: scarves – all kinds of scarves, summer, winter, fall and spring. And I get to feel hip when someone asks “where did you get that?” Of course, then I find myself looking through the racks at Eileen Fisher, realizing that my mother and I are shopping in the same place – and the stuff looks way better on her. Sigh.

Sooo true, luckily I was forewarned due to shopping in these stores with my daughters! I like Chico’s but feel safest (and welcomed) in Kohl’s!!

I think that Anthropologie is the upscale version of UA (with the same owner) targeted at older (30s?) but very hip women. I can’t figure out the sizes in that place and I’ve never found anything that fits me anyways. . . The personal shopper at Nordstrom is very nice.

Too funny that your shopping adventure was at Urban Outfitters. Just yesterday, for the first time, I was at the Navy Yard and had lunch in their restaurant/cafeteria. I actually felt too uncool to even be in the building. I remarked to a colleague that I would need an entirely new wardrobe if I worked there. Not to mention a few amazingly artistic tattoos. Yes, I’ve crossed over with you!
