My kids won't be able to kick each other if I move them to opposite ends as opposed to the opposite sides they currently occupy. Now, we have a rectangular table, with parents on the ends and boys in the middle. One of the boys has a habit of reclining belly-down after he eats, so he gets the window seat for precisely this eccentric purpose.
