I'm going to change the seats around at my house as soon as we return from vacation. My kids won't be able to kick each other if I move them to opposite ends as opposed to the opposite sides they currently occupy. We've only been in the house a few months, so I just may be able to pull this off!

We had a round oak table when I was growing up, and yes, we had our regular wedge of the pie-shaped surface. Now, we have a rectangular table, with parents on the ends and boys in the middle. One of the boys has a habit of reclining belly-down after he eats, so he gets the window seat for precisely this eccentric purpose.
