Funny how much you forget....my favorites for my town were the "6:00 whistle" (I guess to signal the end of the day? To go home for dinner?)and how at a certain time in the early evening at the town pool, the lifeguards blew their whistles and announced, "Adult Swim!" Every little podunk town in my state feels the need to discuss the ins and outs of where they grew up.
