Hold on to hope though Emily...when Jake was flying back from China and was told that he could not leave Beijing to make a connecting flight out of Hong Kong because of a typhoon...he said he raised a "giant Mom stink" and neither typhoon nor airport personnel could deny him. He arrived in Hong Kong while all the other quiet passengers got stuck in Beijing... So don't worry...the day is not that far away where your boys will be happily belting tunes in the car and not caring who hears....just like mom!
