I am so proud of Ian. Artists, even if they work in relative obscurity, are among the most courageous of people. It takes courage to look at reality, really face it, take it in, and then put it through your own personal filter, transforming it into something new.

I was a junior at this high school when the Letters for Arts were instituted, and I was so proud to receive some. For a nerdy kid who didn’t do sports, it was terrific validation. Glad to see that the tradition continues! Congratulations to Ian.
