What a beautiful piece, Em. One that Chase, I imagine, will enjoy reading in year to come. As will you and Dave. Thank you for all your wonderful writing!

I really, really love this piece, Emily. I hope you submit it somewhere beyond the MoB: more readers deserve a chance to read it! I found myself grinning goofily to myself at many junctures while reading your piece. What I admire most is Chase's ability to be who he his, how he's ambled through life at HIS pace, and YOUR trust that he will get to where he needs to be when he needs to get there. A blissfully symbiotic relationship, to be sure. Really great.

This is great, Em. And how cool that Chase is discovering his passions. I'm still waiting on a certain someone over here...

Exactly what I was thinking - this is his father to a "T" (whatever that means.) It's like flash-forward photography when it happens, saw it with James as well, but you say it so well!
