Dont sweat it. As long as she gets the cash, you are fine. I settled on $1 gold coins. The problem that you run into is getting them when there is a loose tooth. Now that I have two kids with teeth falling out all the time, I have to keep a good supply on hand so we aren't caught short. Be ready though, you will forget one night and go to bed without tracking down the pillow and $1.25 (nice round number BTW). I remember those times when I engaged with such enthusiasm - ready to paint my children's lives with adventurous tales of the tooth fairy, Eastern Bunny and Santa Clause. I think I was near perfect with the first child - all adventures played out until long after he didn't believe anymore. Unfortunately my commitment waned as I moved down the line with the kids. By the time my fourth was putting teeth under her pillow, the tooth fairy was leaving notes a day or two later saying, "So sorry I forgot to pick up your tooth last night. Had an accident on the way there" and "Oh MY Gosh! I left your money under a kid's pillow down on Lovat Lane. I dropped the tooth under my then 7-year-old daughter's bed where it was seemingly absorbed by her rug (I finally found it days later in her trundle bed). She woke up as I slipped the dollar into her pillowcase, so I grabbed her for a big "good morning!" hug. She bought it - or did a great job pretending!
