I received the game on my birthday and by the end of the game a cheater had marked the 5 million vote card. He won the game! His name was Karl Rove. Two months later CREEP would lay waste to the leading Democrat contender Sen. Edmund Muskie by planting innuendo about Muskie's wife so that President Richard Nixon would have a clearer field to re-election. The truth is in there somewhere. Very cute to imagine her being cool as a cucumber while her parents dithered. Your card suggestions would improve the game immensely. As would "Call opponent a socialist, become laughingstock." As it is, the cards say things like "Miss train, falter in Delaware" and "Home sick, lose ground in polls." And the endorsements are from Look and Life Magazines. Quite the time capsule. I am hopeful that in years to come, we can get Ella Rose that involved. We spent many nervous hours yesterday evening, although Ella was not concerned at all. According to the poll of Mrs Backus's Kindergarten class taken on Monday, Obama was the clear winner.In light of this Ella Rose was confused about why we needed to watch "The voting show" all night. According to her, Obama was a shoe-in. As a side note about the game, I do find it ironic that on the cover of the game, the state sign clearly in view is that of *Georgia*, in which case, you might as well leave "the white guy" on the cover.
