I'm with the "holiday" wishers. There's so much to celebrate this time of year, why not celebrate it all? We had latkes and gelt after opening our advent calendars last night, and add in Thanksgiving, birthdays, and New Year's...Merry Christmas just isn't comprehensive enough, and honestly, Dec. 7 seems too early for "Merry Christmas" to me. Clearly Target disagrees with me as the Christmas stuff started crowding out the Halloween stuff by the end of October!
So: It's clearly a Christmas tree, and for the most part, Christmas lights, and usually Christmas cookies, at least in our house. And if I'm in church between Dec. 18 and 25, I say Merry Christmas. Otherwise, I'm inclusive.
Happy holidays--or, as that has become fraught--my new greeting: Merry Everything!

Compliments of the season, and thanks for the video link. I hope to get caught in a random act of culture when I'm shopping some time.
