As we enter into the most intense magical time of the year, I would like to take this moment to reflect on those gifts that are truly timeless. A shiny new bicycle… a silent, delicate snowfall… the sound of children singing holiday songs… and the pyrotechnic grease fire show at Hibachi. We thought it would be fun to take the kids to a hibachi place for their birthday dinner this year. Sylvie completely freaked and ran from the table to the entrance screaming, “FIRE!” Cooper followed her lead, and we ended up with Happy Meals. It will be a LONG time before we try that again. Alas, I ♥ hibachi.
