Got back from a great day at the beach yesterday to find an interesting box in the mail.

iPhone, 4G (x2) = love. The kids are amazed and jealous that Mom and Dad finally have the latest technology. Everything’s up to date, until the next version comes out.
So, as we go into the weekend, let me know of any mandatory apps we should add. This is one phone I’m truly going to learn how to work. Really. I mean it this time.
Very nice – I am jealous and really want either an iPhone or an iPad but all the talk about the lousy coverage with AT & T makes me wary. You’ll have to let us know how it goes.
Most of my apps are for the pre-K set but I do love Distant Suns, a freebie that shows the night sky for where and when you are! Amazing.
First of all, Happy Birthday, kiddo! You are a great friend, a great ex-colleague, a great writer and a great Mom. Just older, is all.
And a great early (if I were Emily, I’d cross that word out right here and now) late adopter of technology.

Music: SoundHound – paid version is better than Shazam. But both are VERY cool. Also, Pandora (for sure),
Games: Words with Friends (basically, Scrabble) – free version is fine, and if you get it, play me. QRANK (great daily trivia, current events test) — ditto on inviting me.
Astronomy (if that’s your thing): Space Images, Buzz Aldrin, 3D Sun (spectacular – two LIVE satellites circulating the sun – neato huge explosions and more).
